Adult Content?

Will Missing Stars be including adult content?

Wow, I know how to read a faq. Anyway, the rest of my post still stands:

If so, will it be including an option to disable it?

I can't say I have a particularly strong opinion either way, but at least with KS (the only VN I've ever really played), I felt like some of the sex was perfectly at home with the story, but at other points it came across as forced and obviously there for the viewer without contributing much to the narrative.

Also, if you can't say either way that's fine too, I'm completely floored by the artwork you folks have posted so far. I just hope you keep most of it close to the chest; I like to be surprised by the final product! Good luck!

We're considering it.

Thank you for your interest and concern~

Can you tell which scenes you mean? Most of the sex scenes in KS came across as failed attemps at 'more than just porn' scenes to me. The only pleasing sex scene was Lilly's.

Hanako's route seemed meaningful enough to me. She was reaching out to Hisao for fear of losing him, but in a way that didn't really work for her given the context of her own happiness. It wasn't bad sex, but it was clearly not comfortable for her, and Hisao (belatedly, at least) realizes how stupid sleeping with her was. It seemed more like a real story than an excuse to have porn.

Rin and Shizune didn't really make any sense to me either though. Emi at least followed a recognizable trajectory (and the sex wasn't even a factor in the most compelling parts of that otherwise very good story) of sexual experimentation, although it never felt particularly compelling.

It's all incredibly subjective though, so my experience could differ greatly from other people who might take more (or less) away from the inclusion of 'adult' material.

For me, Hanako's sex scene was very painful, but it really had a deeper and meaningful idea behind it. You could clearly see that it wasn't very pleasant to Hanako and that she was pushing herself to do that. But, thankfully, in the end everything worked out.

But, all in all, it's the hardest part of the whole route/story to make the sex scenes to be tasteful and work with the whole plot, so these sex scenes will require the most of writer's attention and skill. Do your best, writers! *high five*
